About data processing

Below you can read:

  • How we process your data.
  • Where we store it.
  • What security techniques we use and who can access the data.

Email and mailing lists

Klaviyo

Our website uses Klaviyo, a third party that supports the receipt and sending of emails for the webshop. This includes email marketing, confirmation emails, “no-reply” emails, web forms, and surveys sent from our website via Klaviyo’s servers. Klaviyo will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. If you do not agree with receiving personal or business emails from us, you can click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email. After that, you will no longer receive emails from AmaraPure or Klaviyo. Please note: this may reduce the functionality of our website for you. To track whether emails are opened or read, Klaviyo uses cookies and other internet technologies. Klaviyo reserves the right to use this information to improve its services. Your explicit consent is also required before sharing this data with third parties.

Outlook

We use Microsoft Outlook’s mailing services for our business and personal email communication. This party has taken sufficient technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Outlook never has access to our inbox, and we treat all our email traffic as confidential.

Payment processors:

For handling payments in our webshop, we use the payment platform Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address, residence details, and your payment information such as bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate measures to adequately protect your personal data. Mollie does not share your data with third parties and does not store your data longer than legally allowed.

General purpose of data processing

We use your data solely to improve our services and not for marketing purposes. Your data is also not shared with third parties. Unless you give explicit consent, we are not authorized to share personal data with third parties or to contact you after the service has been provided.

We do use this information to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. Third parties are legally required to maintain the confidentiality of such data. Your data will never be stored longer than 90 days unless you provide consent for an exception.

Automatically collected data

Some data is automatically collected by our system, such as your web browser, operating system, or IP address. According to Dutch law, this data is not considered personal data. We explicitly use this information to improve our services.

Cooperation in fiscal and criminal investigations

It may occur that AmaraPure is legally required during a fiscal or criminal investigation to share data with third parties. In these situations, we are obligated to share your data, but we will always oppose it unless it is impossible to do so.

Retention periods

We store your data as long as you are a customer of ours. This means we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you request this, we will also treat it as a request to erase your data. However, due to legal and administrative obligations, we must keep invoices containing your personal data for as long as the applicable period runs. After that, AmaraPure staff will no longer have access to your data.

Your rights

Under Dutch and European privacy laws, you have certain rights regarding your personal data. Below, we explain what those rights are and how they are applied. We also explain how you can act if you suspect that your rights are being violated. To prevent misuse, we only send copies or transcripts of your data to the email address we already know for you. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or by post, we will always ask you to verify your identity. We keep a record of processed requests; if you submit an erasure request, we only store anonymized data. All transcripts and copies of data are provided in a readable format used within our systems.

You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you believe we are using your personal data improperly.

Right of access

You always have the right to access the personal data we have received from you and use for administrative purposes. You can request this via support@AmaraPure.com, and you will receive a response within 30 days. If approved, we will email you a copy of all personal data we or our partners have used during service delivery, along with the categories under which the data is stored.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data we process and that relates to you corrected. You can submit this request via support@AmaraPure.com, and you will receive a response within 30 days. Upon approval, we will request your updated details and send a confirmation email with the new information to the address we have on file.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the processing of data that relates to you. You can submit this request via support@AmaraPure.com, and you will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is approved, we will confirm to your known email address that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we process that relates to you transferred to another party. You can submit this request via support@AmaraPure.com, and you will receive a response within 30 days. If your request is approved, we will send you copies or transcripts of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed by others on our behalf.

Unfortunately, in most cases, we can no longer continue our services after such a transfer because the secure link of databases can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of AmaraPure. If you object, we will immediately cease processing your data pending the resolution of your objection. If your objection is valid, we will provide you with copies or transcripts of the data we have processed and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe otherwise, please contact us.

Google Analytics

Our website places cookies from the U.S.-based company Google as part of its “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and generate reports about how visitors use the website so we can continue to improve our web address and services. This processor is obligated by applicable laws to provide access to this data if you request it.

Google Ads

We collect information about your browsing behavior and search terms and share this data with Google. Google can interpret this data in combination with other datasets to track your movements across the internet. Google uses this information to provide targeted advertisements (AdWords) and other Google services and products.

Third-party cookies

If third-party software solutions use cookies, this is mentioned in this privacy statement.

Changes to the privacy policy

We have the right to modify our privacy policy at any time. If a change occurs that affects how we handle your personal data, we will notify you by email. If you disagree with this change, please contact our privacy officer.
